no i am not an aegon girl. i am a tgc is a beautiful man and him playing aegon is the best part of that character.
i am a his story is so strange and interesting because he’s one of the shittiest men in the dance saga and everyone! knows it but they rather have the worst man alive than a woman who is him but with a vagina and less sexual offenses.
i am a aegon is so much more fun to talk about when you don’t ignore the worst about him, and act like you can’t read between the lines of, he’s at worst a pedo and at best, a sexual harasser, because you think you can’t like immoral characters.
you are reading/watching asoiaf content, one character’s best is not everyone and their worst isn’t everyone’s but holy hell do they all play ping pong with how crazy they want to be?
i am an aegon is a shithole truther, the nasty man alive and probably became the worst version of himself because of what his family put him through even if he was already the worst version of himself before it all happened. he deserves nothing and can burn but also cry like his mother and make my heart melt.
man, tom glynn carney you are gonna eat this season!!

HOUSE OF THE DRAGON S2E1
(my personal opinion)
let's begin from the start. i almost cried when i saw the north and the wall again and also ice on cregan's shoulders.
JACE: the definition of "prince of dragonstone". the scene where he comes back from the north to dragonstone and report the results of his missions to rhaenyra while having tearing eyes for luke, killed me. it was clear that he felt guilty for what happened to luke.
CREGAN: absolutely wonderful. the stark i wanted. even if we haven't seen much of him.
RHAENYS: when i heard her speaking in high valyrian to meleys, i screamed "finally!". she put daemon at his place with two sentences, she slayed.
DAEMON: i think he should remember himself that rhaenyra has the power, she is the queen, not him.
CORLYS AND ALYN: i like the story about alyn saving corlys during the battle of the stepstones. i hope that the fact that he may be his son comes out and honestly i can't wait to see addam.
RHAENYRA: she said only four words and took the scene from everybody else. her grief, her pain touched me deeply. emma's interpretation was just perfect.
ALICENT: when she prays for her mother, viserys and luke got me emotional. i liked a lot her conversation with otto and also the fact that we saw her power slowly fading way now that she is a dowager queen. i didn't like that almost every alicent's scene was about her relationship with crispy cole. kinda useless for the plot in my opinion.
AEGON: finally more time screen for him. i loved seeing him being a good father. and i liked the fact that they portrayed him as a good person, maybe not the perfect king, but not evil and cruel (like his brother). i loved the fact that he is trying to do anything to not resemble his father.
OTTO: he is figuring out that aegon is not a doll in his hands and that he cannot control him like he did with viserys.
HELAENA: phia's interpreation was absolutely wonderful. the fact that she completely dissociate during b&c and how she reacts got me goosebumps. her eyes. absolutely a perfect reaction for dreamer helaena. and when she says "the killed the boy", the fact that she doesn't call him by his name or "my son", like she already knew about it all.
AEMOND: i cannot stand him. he is only behaving like that because he has vhagar. okay, great warrior but come on.
BAELA AND RHAENA: they were absolutely beautiful.
LUKE'S FUNERAL: the fact that joff burned the toy (the innocence), jace burned the child's clothing (the childhood) and rhaenyra burned the boy's clothing (future adulthood). luke's life turning into ashes.
B&C: different from the book, yes (thanks god). i cried the entire scene, it was awful...i can't even describe it.
in the end, i liked this ep. very much.
the tapestry at the beginning was just wonderful.
can't wait for ep.2

Reasons why s2e2 is peak HotD:
Otto getting fired... AGAIN
Daemon in (self-imposed) exile because he pissed off the monarch... AGAIN
Maximum Hightower emotional repression
Crispy Cole failing upwards
Corlys making innuendo in the middle of a serious conversation (but Rhaenys FINALLY laughs)
Rhaenys desperately trying to hold it all together
All the daddy issues
Viserys' legos (RIP)

That scene was just sooooo good!
Viserys' face
Otto - now you! You are a true bastard! He was enjoying the whole show that little shit
Daemon holding back crispy cole
My poor baby luke screaming in fear
And still the tension in the room could not even COMPARE to the tension between just Rhaenyra and Alicent
This wasn't just about Aemond's eye!

The Targ Talk: House of the Dragon S2
Episode 4 commentary
HOLY SHIT, that's all I've been saying all throughout this episode.
I just find it amusing at how the greens keep calling Rhaenyra a "whore of dragonstone" when their righteous queen dowager not only fucks her shitty guard dog, but also gets rid of the product of her own indulgence. And please don't be pulling that "Oh but she's a victim in all this, she's innocent blah, blah, blah." Honey, no...she knows exactly what she's doing so that argument doesn't apply in this scene. I also find it cringey at how some people find the affair between Crispy and Alicent romantic like...????
Hail Aegon, the useless, lame, and stupid Targaryen. I do love Tom Glynn-Carney but this is the dumbest Aegon has ever been. I swear to the gods I was laughing the whole time when Aemond read him to filth in High Valyrian, and he only realized that no one takes him seriously as king now? Even his own mother admits that he's not half of the king Viserys was, and him [finally] realizing that he's nothing without Otto is fucking priceless (as much as I hate that old bitch, he did the job). Speaking of which, when Alicent told Aegon about the "sacrifices that has been made" to put him to the throne tells me that she knew exactly what she was doing, I don't accept and will never accept that bullshit that she misunderstood what Viserys said.
Aegon going to that war with him not having the skills and tactics Aemond has is bold of him, but crazy in a really stupid way. I've said it a couple of times at how pathetic he was, but this is next level. Rhaenys would have effortlessly shredded him and his dragon into pieces if it weren't for Aemond and Vhagar, although I feel bad for Sunfyre because this beautiful boy do not deserve it.
I knew Rhaenys was gonna die, but watching it unfold breaks my heart. She knew it was impossible to fight Vhagar on her own, but she fought like a true dragon rider. I'm gonna miss seeing Eve Best in the show, but her performance as Rhaenys Targaryen will always be iconic.
Daemon still being haunted by the young Rhaenyra, questioning his true intentions, his mirrored path with Aemond, his dead ex-wife appearing before him, perhaps a reflection of his guilt for moving on so quickly and not even processing his grief before marrying Rhaenyra. Alys Rivers taunting him about his wife--damn, that castle is fucking his mind. I also sense that Alys was trying to seduce Daemon which I don't think ever happened in the book (Alys and Aemond did have a thing though) but maybe it's just me. But also felt like [hopefully] it will push him to get his shit together, and fight for his wife's cause.
Aemond obviously hates his brother for not only tormenting him since childhood, but also having everything he does not deserve. He's smart, skilled, and a damn good warrior. It shows, he shoved it right to Aegon's face that he would make a better king than him. We all know Aegon is not gonna die...yet, but he would be performing his duties and responsibilities as Prince Regent, and possibly...an affair with Helaena? The latter never happened in the book but what if?
I actually thought that Rhaenyra was gonna confess to Jace that his real dad is Crispy Cole hahahahaha!
I dread the upcoming episodes.

Hotd 2x06 My Thoughts
Lets start with Daemon. Can someone please get him out of this castle? He is so helpless now haunted by his visions. Him clawing at the door was really heartbreaking to watch. And in his paranoia he attacks Simon. Who really wishes him no harm.
The scene with Viserys standing next to a dead Aemma could almost count as an deleted scene. Except that Daemon wasn't there in ep 1.
Daemon was always someone who had problems comforting people who are sad. But he was never runnig away like Alys said. He went to Dragonstone because he was exiled and didnt want to return to his wife. He went with Corlys to war because he got nothing else to loose and to prove himself. He went to Pentos with Laena because he could not marry Rhaenyra and his brother exiled him again. Viserys had his reasons but he always pushed him away. Mostly under influence from Otto but still. He went to Harrenhal to recruit an army, he didnt run away. At this point i dont understand why he is framed bad for everything he has done. Also the show suffers a The Woman Are Always Right Complex.
Seeing him crying really touched me and it made me sad. Bonus Point for Caraxes for calling to him in the Alys scene to get the hell out of there. I had hoped the plot would speed up but it did not. They are pressing too much in the last two episodes i think. The peacing is too slow. It's not that nothing happens but it is not particulary interesting. For example the scenes with the small folk were not really necesary. It would have been enough to show them attacking Alicent and Haelena. It worked in Thrones too. With Joffrey and Cercei in Season 2.
The dragon claiming scene with Steffon Darkling was very stupid in my opinon. He didnt have to die. Rhaenyra successfully robbed herself of another kingsguard and a formidable protector and swordsman (How many kingsguards has she left?). And she showed zero remorse about it.
Another episode of Jace asking his mother to do something, Rhaena sitting around and pittying herself because she has no dragon and Baela was somehow nowehere to be found.
Rhaenyra is getting on my nerves. Does she ever stop whining? She is becoming paranoid. Which is a bit early. Why would she trust Mysaria of all people she has known her for like a week. The writers say she is looking for a woman to get close to. That could have been Baela. Also slapping her council members for telling her that she has made a mistake is just a no go. She said you have forgotten to fear me but i cant remember when they have ever feared her in the first place. It's Daemon they fear which is why she needs him. He is her sword that was part of the reason why she was marrying him. But i guess that doesnt matter now because she is an independent girlboss who doesnt need anyone and is always right.
Aegon and Haelena have my sympathies. And it was kinda delicous that Alicent got stripped of her council position by her own son. (You reap wat you sow.) Daeron gets mentioned a lot theese days i wonder if he and tessarion will make an appearance.
Crispy is of to Harrenhall and will not return. (Unless they change that too.)
The Addam Seasmoke claiming scen was very strange. It might be the first time that a dragon chases his future rider. But if we had got a ordinary dragon claiming scene with first patting and then a flight it would have been just boring. Also seasmoke looks a lot like drogon.
This episode might be the worst of the season for me(yet). It was just boring.

One criticism I have about the hotd adaptation, especially now that we're going to see more of Aegon II in action, is that I can't fully buy on his hatred of Rhaenyra because of what happened to Jaeherys. Even him cursing her felt jarring. The writers spent so much time bulding Rhaenyra and Alicent's relationship that when it comes down to Rhaenyra and her siblings, it's pretty much non-existent. And they HAD time to show us that. I can buy Aemond resenting his older half-sister for the loss of his eye, since her son was responsible for it, even though he - and everyone else both in team green stans and in-universe - ignores the fact that he was the one who was ready to bash Jace's head with a stone. So there's also that. Yet, when it comes to Aegon, even seeing the cast's interviews where Tom talks about how Aegon had always resented his sister for being the favorite, why don't we see more that? Season 1 had Aegon barely acknowledge her existence and vice-versa, even when his mother was berating and slapping the shit outta him when he was young. I can see clearly him (and Aemond, and maybe Helaena if she cares) resenting Viserys for favoring Rhaenyra, but not to the point of "oh, there she goes, father's favorite child. I hate her because father doesn't pay attention to me when she's around". So yeah, I have a lot of trouble trying to buy the conflict between siblings that was born out of a plot to usurp Rhaenyra, and a misuderstanding where his son became the target of assassination that was meant for Aemond (carried out by two very incompetent people, btw. Daemon should've tried to infiltrate that goddamn castle if he wanted the service done properly. Not to mention Ser Idiot Incel Crispy being the worst kingsguard ever getting a promotion after his absence resulted in the death of Jaeherys. Oh well, the woes of being doomed by canon, I guess.). If they ever interacted in season 1 instead of just sharing/existing in the same space at the same time, I would have buy the anger, the hatred, the pain. Now Aegon going along with Crispy's plan of sending Arryk to Dragonstone, which failed miserabliy and resulted in both twins deaths btw, just makes him sound stupid. I can't even blame Otto for being so frustrated with him (that would also be another topic on itself).

live reactions to house of the dragon season 2, episode 2
once again, these are just my opinions (about a fictional show and characters, no less). I will not engage with incendiary arguments (if there are any) , but I am always open to polite discussions or thoughts🖤
spoilers below the cut
still loving this new intro🖤
can you imagine how terrifying it would be to be a servant in the Red Keep post 🩸 and 🧀?
Aegon’s voice literally doesn’t even sound like Aegon👀
And just WHERE have you been, Aemond?!
“We mustn’t me shaken by this.” BROOO are you kidding me?!?! That was your great grandson?
“The gods punish us. They punish me.” Yes.
Tyland I can’t even with you lmao-
Paranoid Aegon here we go…
I will give Aegon major kudos for initially objecting to Otto’s plan to parade about his son’s body. 💚 his instincts are there at times, he has just always been coddled, misguided, and not reprimanded when he needed to be.
Why is Aegon the only one spared from this parade? They 110% could have had her refrain from going out in public, and it might have been more effective. “The queen is so distraught, she is unable to leave her chambers.” Where’s the lie? And you spare that poor girl even more torture.
Helaena never wanted this, never wanted to be queen.💔 She’s not a queen who lost a prince, she is just a mother who lost her son.
Helaena is seeing something, I just don’t know what…
Where are the damn guards in this show?!?! So six go to unstick the carriage, you telling me you only have a handful of guards escorting the queen and dowager queen out and about in public?🤔
Daemon’s side eye I cannot😭😂-
Even Rhaenyra knows Helaena is innocent🖤
Anyone else’s Max suddenly run into an error at this point?
The fact that Daemon actually thinks it’s humorous😅
Godssssss this argument is painful but good, and it’s needed, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it💔
“You struck down a child.” The audible HURT in her words-
Baela has had a handful of scenes, if even that, and I already feel like we as the audience know who her character is and what she’s about right away. And her and Rhaenyra’s relationship dynamic is so honestly wholesome.
Whatever brownie points Aegon gained earlier are lost for him not having the balls to say even a WORD to Helaena, who ALSO lost a child, who, unlike him, had to go be paraded about the public for HIS political advantage.
Seeing Rhaenyra with her younger sons makes me seriously wonder what if🥺
Feeling guilty, Ser Crispy? Good.
REALLY? This b*tch really out here preaching about purity rn?! Gtfo now.
And NOW he’s pointing fingers?! Is this guy 35, or 5?!
“He’s murdered, on YOUR watch-“ is he dying soon? He’s dying soon, right? Honestly his death can’t come soon enough and I doubt it’ll even be this season-
Otto and Cole are probably the two most irredeemable characters on this whole show. Literally, team black or team green, I think just about every other person you can make an argument for. But these two have got nothing. Name me one thing, one expression of care for another that was not ultimately self serving for either of them in the end. I’ll wait.
“And Ser Harwin Strong?” BAELA KNOWS 🚨 BAELA KNOWS, and she doesn’t give AF, we stan🖤🖤🖤
This little relationship Aemond has going on is 🚩 🚩 🚩 where are this boy’s parents at-?! … Oh, wait.
“Where he does, he wishes to be his own master.” Rhaenys and Daemon just get each other. Their dynamic is so interesting.
“A week, or forever I do not know.” She sounds so unbothered😂😂😂
Uh oh Alicent, Rhaenyra may have just found a new bff👀 and it only took 16+ years
Seasmoke is that you?!?!?! Wait, what does this mean for Laenor though?🥲
Errors are STILL being made in the wake of Viserys’s death I see…
The dog’s reaction nooo😭😭😭
“The king is my grandson, and my grandson is a fool. He’s worse than a fool, he’s murdered innocent men!” You can say allll the foul stuff about Otto you want, and you’d be right. But he is not wrong in this moment. This reaction is valid, and in my opinion sound council. The delivery could be tailored to better fit Aegon’s current headspace, but Otto’s reaction is still valid here I feel.
Crazy how Aegon went from wanting the small folk’s approval to scoffing at the need for it.
“Ser Criston Cole has acted.” BOY if you knew HOW Ser Criston Cole has been acting-
Also crazy how fast Aegon went from being pissed with Cole being “in bed” at the time of Jaehaerys’s murder to praising him and putting him in a pedestal.
“It’s time the bitch queen paid the price.” Could Larys have his guys cut out HIS tongue now?! Please??? Literally no one but Aegon, who’s grieving, paranoid, and a little off the rails rn, wants to hear a damn thing from him. Not even his dowager queen booty call wants anything from him rn.
I think Otto’s gonna give himself a heart attack.
Yooooo, Otto realizing that Aegon is going to be waaaaaaay harder to control than Viserys ever was😭😂😂😂 I love it. I need more. This is wonderful.
“He made me king.” *Otto laughs.*
“You will regret this.” THAT actually may be the truest words Otto has ever spoken to anyone, any king, in his life.
Mysaria is already proving her loyalty, we love to see it🖤
Moral of the story is everyone, the Greens and the Blacks, need better guards like😅
If anything happens to Elinda-
Oooo, we’re doing this here and now?🥲
Ser Erryk died with more honor than Criston EVER had. And that is a hill I will die on myself.
Hell, even Arryk had more honor than Criston.
DAERON?!?!?!?!??!!?? LET’S F’ING GO
Oh, you can ask for the Tyrell’s to help, but something tells me you won’t get it👀
It’s honestly tragic as hell how Alicent was a victim of her father’s plots in her youth, and continues to be one as an adult. (I am in no way saying she has not made her own choices throughout her life, but I still stand by this statement.)
THE NERVE OF THIS MAN-
THE NERVE OF THIS WOMAN-
Okay, team black, team green, team small folk, idc- can we please all agree that everyone is anti-Criston Cole?
Aemond was not in this episode nearly enough for what happened in the last one.

🦋's Post show thoughtsssss
Superb Acting, as usual
Thankful for our Helaena sighting, no matter how short. My heart went out to her when they got mobbed, my poor girl😭
Aemond serving cunt, I kinda giggled when in that first scene at the beginning hehehe
Honestly I really wanted that scene with Aegon to show him saying something along the lines of he loves him in his own twisted way, blah blah, some loyalty or remorse or something. But god forbid we have the greens actually liking each other.
I'm actually looking forward to Otto coming back, tbh, like him or not the man was a powerhouse- Aemond knows what's up (not always)
DAERON MENTIONNNNNN
Gwyane really said yea girl ya'll kinda fucked up in this place ngl, thank god I wasn't raised here lol
I may not have been Viserys's biggest fan, however, to see Paddy again was surprisingly welcome.
Alys slayed, I can't wait for her and Aemond to meet, I'm gnawing at the bars of my enclosure for this to happen.
I really wanted to see a fallout of the mobbing with Alicent and Helaena, particularly with Aemond, to see some kind of regret of something in him, but again, god forbid they give Aemond some level of complexity. Only thanks to Ewan's skill as an actor do we get any depth, but we get not one shit from Ryan Condal.
Poor Aegon, honestly.
Even though I'm tired of Daemon at Harrenhall, I really hope that the direction it's gonna take is him getting to the point where he's back to being the ultra loyal uncle-husband, SEND HIM HOME TO HIS WIFE, DAMMIT
Now, the Mysaria and Rhaenyra kiss. I know this could potentially be divisive amongst fans, however.....it was hot. I'm sorry, but....it was hot. I kinda wanted more, this is way better than seeing Alicent and Crispy. I felt the chemistry between them but I rlly thought they would leave it ambiguous. Again, not a fan of this overarching narrative of Rhaenyra being this holy blessed chosen one, and the greens are all one dimensional assholes who hate each other, but- that was hot. Give us them scissoring next episode k thanks.
Despite the general issues, I am curious for next episode.
Excited to see your thoughts (can't believe there's only two more episodes) I'll miss these post show asks but alas we shall find more things to discourse over <3
One of my highlights of the week is you coming to my asks after the episode has aired. I can't believe that after this one we only get to do our thought dumps twice more! :(
Here are mine!
I have to get this out of the way first, because it was my absolute favourite part and I cannot stop thinking about it; Rhaenyra and Mysaria!
I've had a feeling something like that would happen from their very first encounter, all of their interactions just feel very charged. It was hot AF and I hope we get more of that. Such an interesting dynamic.
Aemond had a little more screen time this episode and, as usual, Ewan slayed. He ran that small council meeting like a fucking drill sergeant and seeing him all hot tempered and mean was...UGH.
I think Aemond's reasoning for dismissing Alicent from the small council was similar to Criston's for not wanting to name her as Regent - he wants to keep her out of harm's way and protect her from the horrible decisions they are going to have to make moving forward.
The way he set Larys up was so fucking good, and I am frothing for the return of Otto. I just know he is going to deliver some absolutely incredible lines next episode.
The exchange between Aegon and Aemond at Aegon's bedside was so well acted by both Tom and Ewan - Aegon's fear and Aemond's unsubtle threat of "this is the version of what happened and you better not tell anyone otherwise" - I do think it's stereotypical sibling rivalry, but the context makes it so much darker.
Aegon and Larys's exchange was amazing too - Larys just laying it out there, basically saying "you are going to look deformed and people will judge you for it" - so powerful, and yet so sad to see Aegon's realisation that he's changed forever.
I have a huge gripe with the writers for what they have done with Sylvi. Yes, her relationship with Aemond was purely transactional, and it has now ended, however, Aemond has been vulnerable with her, spoken to her of things he's not told anyone, so he wouldn't take kindly to the untruths she's spreading around Flea Bottom. I think he would have her killed, not just for treason, but out of fear of what she might tell people about him. However, Michelle Bonnard isn't going to appear again this season, so that is yet another gaping plothole created by the writers.
I'm so bored of Daemon's story arc. Alys is the only part of it holding my interest. It's heavily implied that she had a hand in killing Grover Tully, and I am wondering if she did that to actually help Daemon, or if she has another agenda. Is she going to work with Daemon to help cross Aemond, or does she simply want to take them both down because of their callous attitude towards small folk? I am genuinely excited about her character and storyline.
Cute as it was that Seasmoke claimed Addam, it is yet another glaring oversight from the writers - give us some indication of what's happened to Laenor! Should we just assume he's dead?!
It was cool to see the groundwork being laid for Sheepstealer, though I am still annoyed they gave Nettles' storyline to Rhaena.
Anyway, overall, I really enjoyed this episode. I think this one and episode four have been my favourites so far!

@nerdqueenmari
Ah, yes. Of course! Doctor Who it is.
Seriously though, I'm going to go for ASOIAF as a whole because I know we both have muses in both dance era and GOT timeline.
The first character I first fell in love with: Daenerys, right from the get go.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Sansa actually. She was very unlikeable to me but she really evolved over time. I just wish she didn't have to go through so much trauma to reach that point.
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Does anyone love Viserys?
The character I love that everyone else hates: Cersei, you horrible woman. I love you far more than I should. Also Daenerys after season 8 (which ain't canon on my blog let me tell you. I actually wrote a whole divergence about it)
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Do the show writers count?
The character I would totally smooch: Rhaenys. I don't care that she's older than me by a few decades. Sign me up. She's gorgeous.
The character I’d want to be like: Vhagar, for I too would like to be a grumpy tank that can just eviscerate and chomp on everyone I don't like.
The character I’d slap: Otto fucking Hightower. Daemon would be so proud of me. He'd also join me.
A pairing that I love: Daemon and Laena!
A pairing that I despise: Alicent and Crispy can get outta town. Oh, or Aemond and the brothel madam.

Writing Prompt: Otto's plan to ruin the Princess fails when Viserys demands to know why he was spying on his heir. He looses the King's trust and furious he decides to take his revenge out on Rhaenyra. He plots to fuel rumors of Daemon returning to the brothels as he did w her, with other woman. Rumors that he makes sure by design only the Princess hears. Rhaenyra's heart breaks little by little as over and over she is confronted w the idea that her night w him was only a game. A game that he continues to play with other woman. Her Uncle pretends like nothing happened, like it meant nothing. Charming and flirting at court as he always has. And every time she wonders if he will take them to silk street later. The only difference between them and her is he left her, cold and alone, unwanted. She never hears about him leaving the others. Otto persists until he feels his revenge is complete. When the Princess cannot even look at the Prince without her heart breaking into another piece. And she no longer sees him. Rhaenyra is heartbroken. And Daemon is forced to pick up the pieces of his Love as he hurt her. Sneaking in to at last find out what's wrong, through the door in her room that started this all.
In truth: Daemon has been working hard so he can have a chance of his brother saying yes when he asks for her hand. And he hasn't even thought about going back to the brothels, he can't. There's only one thing he desires anymore.
I'm sorry to put all this angst in your lap. But I thought of this and the idea won't leave me alone. Daemon was never exiled, throne room never Viz never happened. Rhaenyra didn't replace Daemon w Crispy. If you don't like it, or it's too sad/angst, feel free to post for someone else. Or let me know. HEA of course!
That sounds promising! It will be very interesting story to read, with all sad feelings as Rhaenyra is manipulated like that by that cunt. 😕
And Daemon, so so in love right now, he can't even think about being with another women.
I really like that.

The way the show handled helaegon irritates the life out of me! I’m will admit I’m not really a fan of the greens (mainly ser crispy/Otto/Aemond) and favour the blacks but sweet Helaena and Aegon are such wasted potential!!!
Below is just my personal opinion on it, not that I believe anyone will greatly care but I’m still sharing them 😂 major spoilers if you haven’t read the book! So please ignore if you don’t know what happens in fire and blood
So I absolutely adore Jace, Luke and Joff who are victims in the dance of dragons, but my problem is the show writers have completely ignored the fact Alicent’s children are victims too!! Helaena and Aegon are BOTH forced into marriage at a young age while he being groomed to usurp his sister
The show kept out ser crispy putting the fear of god into Aegon when he tries to refuse the throne, like I didn’t feel as if the show fully showed how forced into it he was
Aegon is an asshole in the books, he cheats on his wife and acts like a drunken fool but the show made him a rapist to make it more biased so the viewers who haven’t read the books favour the blacks
Who even is Helaena in the show? We get about three minutes of her as a side character rather than the sweet princess who’s a dragon dreamer
Now noodle boy Caraxes is my favourite dragon but their is no dismissing that Aegon and Sunfyre have the best bond, but yet the show failed to highlight it!
I could write a essay on how much I love book Rhaenyra and how I think she is a victim in her own right, but I completely understand why Aegon does what he does… spoiler… after Luke’s death blood and cheese (despite it being Daemon and Aemond’s doing) there is no going back, one of them needs to die, however I know the show will butcher the whole scene and make it seem like Aegon has done it for power
The show has made it seem like Aegon doesn’t give a fuck about his wife or children, when everything he does is for them! He accepts the crown to protect his family because he truly believes Rhaenyra will kill them all if she is queen, he seeks justice after blood and cheese! Aegon does not give a shit about the crown, he just wants to protect his family
Neither Rhaenyra or Aegon had a chance because of Viserys! He is the soul reason for the dance happening in the first place, he desperately wanted a son to be heir which Aemma died trying to give him, then when he finally had one he ignores him. Also when he crowned Rhaenyra he should have continually reminded all the other houses who swore to her that she was to be Queen, if he had done that then Aegon wouldn’t have been brain washed and groomed for king and house Targaryen wouldn’t have torn themselves apart
It’s fine, I read the books not to worry, Nonnie.
Yeah, they handled Aegon and Helaena so badly. Even Criston, he was smart and a great warrior but in the show he’s just a rage machine, which considering the fact they made him Dornish was a choice.
They didn’t developed Aegon and Helaena or their relationship at all. I ranted way too much about that lmao.
You’re right, Viserys was the villain. The fact that TB thinks that he didn’t set Rhaenyra to fail by marrying is beyond me.

Hey author, how are you? I hope your exams went well ☺️👍! I wanted to ask you who is your favorite character in House of the dragon? I can't quite decide. I love Daemon and Rhaenyra. But then there are also viserys and the sweet Luce (aka. Sweet boy) so I wanted to ask who your favorite character in House of the dragon is. What would also interest me is: if you could choose your parents in House of the dragon, who would it be? I would choose Daemon and Rhaenyra directly, I just love them, and I would have cool brothers, half brothers and half sisters....
I tried to send it to you yesterday, but I wasn't sure if it worked because the app crashed the whole time. So if you've already received this from me, I'm sorry
Heyyyy, absolutely love your asks. And you never need to apologize, love, it's all good 💙💙
My exams went lol. We don't talk about how they went, they just went 💀💀. Your exams were in May, right? Best of luck bestie, I hope they go well!!
Hmm, my fav character from House of the Dragon. I find all the characters so incredibly complex and layered that I actually love them all so much. I think my all-time favourite is definitely Rhaenyra. She is just so fascinating and she's been through so much and I just adore her with all my heart. Like I'm aware she's not perfect and that she does questionable things in both the books and show but I just love her so much lol. I support women's rights, but most of all I support women's wrongs, and Imma support ALL that woman's wrongs 🤭🤭
I also find Alicent so fascinating. Young show Alicent is so young and she goes through so so much and my heart aches for her, and even though I don't love all the choices adult Alicent makes, I can't hate her either because she is just a product of her environment and an accumulation of her tragic experiences. It makes sense for her to be the way she is and honestly, I can understand her resentment for Rhaenyra. I mean if I went through what she did, and then I see someone I grew up with get to do whatever she wants without consequences while I have to put up with my shitty 100+ yr old rotting husband while she has like 2 of the hottest dudes in the kingdom, I'd be pretty jealous and resentful too. So yea I just find her so fascinating and I love doing like character analyses on her.
Honourable mentions go to Harwin, we love a king who supports his princess without wanting anything for it. The parallels he draws with Ser Criston Cole (I rlly hate him lol) are so immaculate. Crispy Cole has a huge hissy fit when Rhaenyra doesn't drop the crown and goes to sell oranges with him or something, while Harwin is perfectly content being her side piece. But like on a serious note, his love for Rhaenyra is enough for him and he doesn't need to be formally acknowledged as his boys' father or Rhaenyra's baby daddy. He is just content with the little pieces of her that he gets to have and I think its so tragically beautiful. Also Daemon, my fav war criminal 🫶 I know he's done atrocious things, and he will continue to do so and I will not defend him saying that he didn't do anything wrong lol. I just vibe with him cuz he's incredibly loyal to his family and we love a family man devoted to his wife (I pretend the choking scene did not happen, I'm delulu like that 🤡). Also love Rhaenyra's kiddos. They're so wholesome and sweet. Sweet sweet Luke and responsible Jace. I have so much to say about them oh gosh I've rambled here enough, you asked me my fav character and I went on like 3 different tangents on all my fav characters. But yea, every single one of these characters have such a special place in my heart, i love them all for various reasons, tea black and green both (I fkn hate Otto and Crisoy Cole tho).
Also omg parents, I want Daemon and Rhaenyra tooo for sure. First of all so I can have Jace, Luke, and Joffrey as my brothers cuz that would be soo nice but also can you imagine having Daemon targaryen as your fkn dad. Gosh the power you would hold. I wanna be Daemon and Rhaenyra's babygirl 😭😭 And that entire family unit is so cool, all their kids/half-kids/step-kids are so cool and it would be amazing to be part of that family. Also i think they're a relatively happy family (until the war lol). Like I def wouldn't wanna be Alicent+Viserys's kid lol. Not because I have anything against them (I have issues with Vizzy T but thats a matter for another time), but they're just so dysfunctional lol. That's mommy issues + daddy issues + all sorts of issues waiting to happen lmfao.
Anyways thank you so much for your ask, feel free to send in more, I love rambling about my fav characters and I'd love to hear more from you too. Why do you like your favourite characters? Also I am currently working on your Daeron request so expect that to be out sometime in the next 2 weeks. I started a new job so it got kinda busy rip.
Cheers love 🫶

HOTD: doing math in the number range of 1-60
This seems to be very difficult for the audience and showmakers alike and makes my nerd-self go:
Tumblr media
So let's talk about the fucked up show timeline/character ages.
For once we will take word of God (Ryan Condal) as basis, who has said that Aegon II is 23 and Aemond is 19 as of episode 1.10.
Yes, this does most definitely contradict lines said on the show (means it has been 25 years since 1.1 not less than twenty), but we'll go with this now, because it actually makes some fucking sense. So from those two given ages we can infer other character ages as follows:
Alicent was 15 when she was married to Viserys and had Aegon with 16 (a pregnancy lasts nine month in Westeros too afawk), so Alicent and Rhaenyra are 38/39 years old. That means Daemon should be 53/54 if he is 15/16 years older than Rhaenyra like in the books (which is debated).
So King Viserys who is at least eight years older than Daemon on the show (in the books it's only four) was around 62 when he died. Otto should be around this age too, maybe a bit younger.
Rhaenys is a bit older than Viserys in the books and I think it's almost same age on the show too. (Corlys is not 78 on the show, more likely also somewhere around 60.)
Crispy Cole was "around 20" at the tourney, says Condal, so should be 45 now (damn he looks good for that). My guess is Mysaria, Larys and the Lannister twins are around that age too.
Helaena is square in the middle of her brothers so 21. Her twins are probably around 5, same age as Rhaenyra's Aegon, (LilVizzy 3?), Joffrey is going on 7. We'll see what they do with the young kids in season 2, as there might be retcons.
Jace and Baela should be 17/18 and Rhaena 15/16 if she isn't Baela's twin on the show. This seems to be left open to interpretation.
Some guesses for season 2:
They seem to have swapped who is older with Alyn and Addam like they already did with Laenor and Laena from the books. Despite the older actor I don't think Alyn will be forty like some people fear, because of his former roles, but around Aegon's II age (would fit with him being made in the first Stepstone's campaign and fighting in the second), so early to mid twenties and Addam late teens.
Hugh is rumored to either be Prince Baelon's or King Viserys' bastard. He will be in his early fourties, so a bit older than Rhaenyra, which makes me think Viserys is more likely. For maximum trolling they should make Ulf (Drunken Ursurper Cunt of a King 2.0) Daemon's bastard.
Nettles is definitely going to be aged up. Probably also early to mid twenties (and if they make her Laenor's 'not-for-lack-of-trying' bastard, then the bastard collection would be complete and I'll laugh my ass off).

Sounds like Mysaria doesn’t even need to be a player in the game. If nothing she did even touched Daemon and it was all Viserys being stupid. He can just be aware of the Grey Worm in general.
I’m interested how you will make Crispin a threat at all that makes sense. If Daemon is the best in the game and it sounds like Crispin is I competent at best, where’s the threat? Even SHW could handle a novice.
Everyone keeps saying Daemon is sorry and he messed up and all this and, maybe he shouldn’t have slept with her, but it takes two. And it sounds like it’s after she almost died and they both desperately fall into each other and loose control they’ve been keeping away from the other. But we can’t forget his ‘mess up’ is to protect her. So he has good reason. And even SHW would understand, and wouldn’t be mad at him. He even told him that he broke a rule and SHW would know that is a bigger thing for Daemon. Rules are life n death in his work.
mysaria in hitman au? with her spy network, perhaps she could find 🤏 info about rhaenyra, but she didn’t know where she was or who’s with her. 🧐
I'm thinking bringing in Mysaria wouldn't really do much, she can be just mentioned every now and then as working to find something... Even though it does make sense for Otto to be trying to find anything he can, anywhere he can.
Crispy has been working on getting better, especially after getting under the Hightowers' wing, but his problem is he acts without thinking and lets emotions get the best of him and that's where Daemon can easily exploit his weakness. I think that'll be the biggest difference, Daemon doesn't let emotions cloud his judgement.
The thing with SHW is, I didn't think he'd know about what happened between them. Neither of them would share with him that they'd slept together, right? I assumed he'd know he hurt her somehow, but didn't realize just how. Maybe he'd figure it out eventually... and then get hives because that's his daughter and he doesn't wanna think about that lmao
